Campus Security
Your security and that of your property is one of Colorado College’s primary concerns. Campus Security patrols the campus 24 hours a day by foot and by vehicle. Security guards are college employees who work closely with the Colorado Springs Police Department to patrol the extended campus area.

Ron Smith, Chief of Security

Ron has a staff of about 20 Security Officers which includes dispatchers who staff the Security Office in Edith Gaylord House 24 hours per day. The staff safeguards the campus community. They are responsible for traffic and parking control, dog control, noise abatement, transporting of injured or ill students, issuance of parking stickers, eviction of non-affiliated persons from College property, in addition to many and varied duties. The dispatch staff provides contact with the Facilities Services staff for after-hour emergencies. Please call ext. #6707 with after-hour emergencies.
