The Children’s Center

The Colorado College Children’s Center is committed to providing an on-site, high-quality, early care and education program for the children of the CC community. A professional and experienced staff creates a warm, loving, developmentally appropriate program for children ages six weeks through six years. The Center is committed to serving each child’s unique social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth.

The Children’s Center is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the nation’s largest organization of early childhood educators.

The Children’s Center practices a philosophy of emergent curriculum, based not only on the interests of the children, but on the teachers’ combined experience and training in early childhood education. Our curriculum encourages hands-on learning through a wide variety of experiences. Children are encouraged toward investigation and individual responsibility. The Center operates 12 months a year and participates in the CACFP school lunch program with food provided by Bon Appetit. We are located at 931 N. Nevada Avenue. Our program operates from 7:45 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. We can be reached at 389-6764.
