Colorado College Cultural Attractions Fund
Frequently Asked Questions
- I am an outside community organization. May my organization apply for a Cultural Attractions Fund grant?
Not without a sponsoring Colorado College department or organization. Our goal is to have significant college presence along with Colorado Springs community presence at CAF funded events. However, if you don’t have a sponsoring college organization, please contact us and we will be more than glad to assist you in finding a potential college sponsor.
- How far ahead should I apply for a CAF grant?
The earlier you plan ahead for your event, the better. If you apply less than 30 days before your event, you will probably not receive CAF funds. So please plan ahead as we want to support your event as much as possible. Featured Events will receive the full support of the college’s community relations department.
- If I received previous CAF funding within the past two years, am I able to receive funding again?
You are welcome to submit your application. CAF support will depend on the amount and frequency of funding you previously received.
- I have already committed funding for our event. Will this guarantee an approval for CAF funding?
Just because you have committed funding for your event does not obligate CAF to approve your proposal. We suggest you don’t commit funding for your event before you receive approval for a CAF grant.
- Is CAF a source of funding for student organization events?
Yes, however, given the number of student organizations and the number of events put on by these groups each year, CAF will not be able to support every group, every year. So select carefully which proposal you submit to CAF.
Back to the application.
