Why have you chosen to work in or support the nonprofit sector?

Although my career is not within the nonprofit sector, my volunteer work is within the sector. I volunteer at the Family Tree Crisis Center and for the Catholic Charities Samaritan House homeless shelter.

Why do you want to be a mentor for PIFP?

My interaction with the PIFP fellows in past years has been one of my most rewarding volunteer activities.

What’s your favorite book or movie?

I’ll generalize and say that my favorite movie genres are foreign/independent films.

What is something most people would be surprised to know about you?

I got my pilot’s license for flying gliders while I was a medical student.
