Other education:

I am working on my Masters in Nonprofit Management program at Regis University.

Current employment position:

Colfax Community Network, Office Manager
Check out the website www.colfaxcommunitynetwork.org

Experience/areas of interest:

I have had a lot of experience with special event planning and working with low-income and homeless families both in Denver and Colorado Springs.

Why have you chosen to work in or support the nonprofit sector?

I have found that I need to have a job that has meaning and worth to me. Just getting a paycheck isn’t enough (though it is necessary) for me to be happy and fulfilled.

What do you enjoy or value most about being a PIFP advisory board member?

I enjoy interviewing the students and helping them get placed.

What’s your favorite book or movie?

My favorite movie is Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and my favorite book is A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers.

What is something most people would be surprised to know about you?

I rode my bike from San Diego, CA, to Savannah, GA, with my father when I was 18. And, yes, it was the best trip ever! Also, I grew up without a TV.
