Why did you want to become a PIFP Fellow?

I wanted to do something meaningful with my summer months, not just another summer spent waitressing.

Please give a brief description of your job/role in your host organization:

I am the summer outreach coordinator, so I am in charge of recruiting volunteers, training them, and supervising them. We attend many festivals with volunteers, as well as several Choice Chats, and a few other smaller events.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned about your host organization so far?

They have a 501c3, a 501c4, and a political action committee, so they can make sure that they are best using their resources over a broad range of actions.

What activities do you enjoy?

 I swing dance, as well as other sorts of dancing.

What is something most people would be surprised to know about you?

I hate glass tables. It drives me nuts to be able to see through the tabletop. And I love snails.
