Why did you want to become a PIFP Fellow?

I wanted to explore health care and policy issues from the perspective of the nonprofit world.

Please give a brief description of your job/role in your host organization:

I am working in the Maternal and Child Health Division of the Health Program. Specifically, I helped organize the Health Priorities Conference in June, and will be doing web page updates throughout the summer.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned about your host organization so far?

As a bipartisan group, the NCSL offers extremely useful information and support to all state legislatures. I love interacting with the people in my office and finding out what motivated them to be so active and passionate about what they do
