Colorado Health Institute
Yearlong Fellow
Why did you want to become a PIFP Fellow?
Working in the nonprofit sector seemed like a great opportunity to get hands-on and in-depth experience that many recent graduates can’t seem to get at most jobs. I am also interested in working in public health as a career and nonprofits seemed like a great place to start.
Please give a brief description of your job/role in your host organization:
My job title is Research Fellow. I help prepare data and counsel for various demand-driven projects (e.g., Colorado Health Report Card; Safety Net; Alzheimer’s Council).
I enjoy analyzing different health indicators, the policies that address them, and how this affects Colorado.
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned about your host organization so far?
