Moab Clinic

Moab Clinic
The Rhetoric of Health and Illness class spent a week during Block 4 in Moab, Utah, working at the Moab Free Health Clinic. The CC students conducted volunteer and patient interviews, developed outreach and marketing materials to promote clinic programs, shadowed clinic staff, and worked on grant proposals; texts for the course included works by Albert Camus, Marcel Proust, Susan Sontag, Paul Farmer, Anne Fadiman, Abraham Verghese, and Atul Gawande. Conferring at the clinic are, from left, Anjelica Oien, program coordinator, Sanjay Roberts ’16, and Lexi Gagliardi ’17.
