BY100 at Chico Basin Ranch

BY100 at Chico Basin Ranch
Students in Boyce Drummond’s Block Four BY100 Biodiversity and Conservation class conduct a detailed analysis of the land at Chico Basin Ranch, where for the third year in a row, the annual rainfall is less than half of what is considered normal. Students Samantha Crook, Elena Foraker, and Hannah Westerman count the number of plant species and measure the vegetative cover, litter accumulation, and evidence of erosion inside the hoop.
