Field Botany

Field Botany
Students in Biology Professor Tass Kelso’s Field Botany (BY202) class identify grasses on a ranch east of town. The course focuses on the collection, identification, and preservation of vascular plants, emphasizing evolution, ecology, and biogeography. In return for using the ranch as field trip site, the students helped eradicate an invasive species from the property. Photo by Alex Suber ’15.
