How to Create a New Video from the Website Browser

  1. Using the Website Browser tab, navigate to the page where you will be adding the widget and double click on the name of the page to preview it.
  2. In the upper right of the section in your page where you want to add the widget, click "Add".
  3. Chose "Widget" from the dropdown.
  4. In the left column of the dialogue box that appears, choose "CC - Featured Video"
  5. In the upper right corner, choose "Create New CC - Featured Video".
  6. Fill in the "Widget Title" field using the naming conventions outlined in the Widgets Best Practices page.
  7. Choose the "Folder/Host" to save the content in the appropriate place for your site.
  8. Fill in the "Video Title".
  9. Paste in either the YouTube or Vimeo link to your video.
    Note: For either site you will want to use the URL from the address bar in your Web browser as the link you input into your widget.
  10. Enter the "Video Caption" if desired, which will display just under the widget in your page.
  11. When you are finished, click "Save" or "Save and Publish"
  12. Your widget will now display on the page you started from.
  13. In the administration column of the left of the page, click "Publish Page" and then click "OK" in the dialogue box that appears

How to Create a New Video from the Content Tab

  1. From the Content tab of the administration screen, chose "CC - Featured Video" from the "Type" dropdown at the top of the left column.
  2. In the upper right corner of the screen, click the "Add New Content" dropdown, then select the "Add New Content" option.
  3. Fill in the "Widget Title" field using the naming conventions outlined in the Widgets Best Practices page.
  4. Choose the "Folder/Host" to save the content in the appropriate place for your site.
  5. Fill in the "Video Title".
  6. Paste in either the YouTube or Vimeo link to your video.
    Note: For either site you will want to use the URL from the address bar in your Web browser as the link you input into your widget.
  7. Enter the "Video Caption" if desired, which will display just under the widget in your page.
  8. When you are finished, click "Save" or "Save and Publish"
  9. Continue to the next set of instructions to add the Video you created to a page.

How to Add an Existing Video to a Page

  1. Using the Website Browser tab, navigate to the page where you will be adding the widget and double click on the name of the page to preview it.
  2. In the upper right of the section in your page where you want to add the widget, click "Add".
  3. Chose "Widget" from the dropdown.
  4. In the left column of the dialogue box that appears, choose "CC - Featured Video".
  5. Type a term into the "Search" field based on how you have named your widget and click the "Search" button to shorten the list of widgets available.
  6. Click "Select" to the left of the widget you would like to add to your page.
  7. Your widget will now display on the page you started from.
  8. In the administration column of the left of the page, click "Publish Page" and then click "OK" in the dialogue box that appears.

How to Edit a Video from Your Page

  1. Using the Website Browser tab, navigate to the page where you will be adding the widget and double click on the name of the page to preview it.
  2. In the upper left corner of the widget you wish to edit, click "Widget".
  3. Modify any of the fields you wish to change.
  4. When you are finished, click "Save" or "Save and Publish".

How to Edit a Video from the Content Tab

  1. From the Content tab of the administration screen, chose "CC - Featured Video" from the "Type" dropdown at the top of the left column.
  2. Use the following "Widget Title" and/or "Folder/Host" fields to input information specific to your widget.
  3. Click the "Search" button.
  4. Click on the name of the widget from the list that you would like to edit.
  5. Modify any of the fields you wish to change.
  6. When you are finished, click "Save" or "Save and Publish"

Linking to a Video Lightbox from Text

  1. In order to link to a video in a lightbox, you will need to use the "embed" link to your video on YouTube.com or Vimeo.com. You can find this link in the sharing options of the video on the site you are using.
  2. Go to your video on YouTube or Vimeo and copy the "embed" link.
  3. Using the Website Browser tab, navigate to the page where you will be adding a link and double click on the name of the page to preview it.
  4. Edit the Web Page Content item where you want to add the link to the video.
  5. Highlight the text in the WYSIWYG that you want to create the link on.
  6. Click the "Insert/Edit Link" icon in the toolbar.
  7. In the dialogue box that comes up, paste the address that you copied into the "Link URL" field.
  8. Click on the "Advanced" tab along the top of the diologue box.
  9. In the "Classes" field, type in "iframe lightbox".
  10. Click "Insert" when you are finished to return to the WYSIWYG.
