Twitter Feed

How to Create a New Twitter Feed from the Website Browser

  1. Using the Website Browser tab, navigate to the page where you will be adding the widget and double click on the name of the page to preview it.
  2. In the upper right of the section in your page where you want to add the widget, click "Add".
  3. Chose "Widget" from the dropdown.
  4. In the left column of the dialogue box that appears, choose "CC - Twitter Feed"
  5. In the upper right corner, choose "Create New CC - Twitter Feed".
  6. Fill in the "Widget Title" field using the naming conventions outlined in the Widgets Best Practices page.
  7. Choose the "Folder/Host" to save the content in the appropriate place for your site.
  8. Fill in the "id" field with a short set of characters.  No spaces or special characters and you will want to use something not used on other code or text in the page.
  9. Enter the Twitter username for the feed.
  10. In the "Number of Tweets" field, enter the number of most recent Tweets you want to display in your widget on your page.
  11. The "Loading Text" field should have text input into it that can be displayed while the Twitter Feed is loading on your page.
  12. Choose "Show Heading" if you want your Twitter Feed to have a heading, and then enter the heading text into the "Heading" field.
  13. Select "Show Profile Link" if you would like a link included in your sidget that links to the profile on Twitter.
  14. Select "Show Timestamp" if you would like a timestamp to show when the Tweets were posted.
  15. When you are finished, click "Save" or "Save and Publish"
  16. Your widget will now display on the page you started from.
  17. In the administration column of the left of the page, click "Publish Page" and then click "OK" in the dialogue box that appears.

How to Create a New Twitter Feed from the Content Tab

  1. From the Content tab of the administration screen, chose "CC - Twitter Feed" from the "Type" dropdown at the top of the left column.
  2. In the upper right corner of the screen, click the "Add New Content" dropdown, then select the "Add New Content" option.
  3. Fill in the "Widget Title" field using the naming conventions outlined in the Widgets Best Practices page.
  4. Choose the "Folder/Host" to save the content in the appropriate place for your site.
  5. Fill in the "id" field with a short set of characters.  No spaces or special characters and you will want to use something not used on other code or text in the page.
  6. Enter the Twitter username for the feed.

How to Add an Existing Twitter Feed to a Page

  1. Using the Website Browser tab, navigate to the page where you will be adding the widget and double click on the name of the page to preview it.
  2. In the upper right of the section in your page where you want to add the widget, click "Add".
  3. Chose "Widget" from the dropdown.
  4. In the left column of the dialogue box that appears, choose "CC - Twitter Feed"
  5. Type a term into the "Search" field based on how you have named your widget and click the "Search" button to shorten the list of widgets available.
  6. Click "Select" to the left of the widget you would like to add to your page.
  7. Your widget will now display on the page you started from.
  8. In the administration column of the left of the page, click "Publish Page" and then click "OK" in the dialogue box that appears.

How to Edit a Twitter Feed from Your Page

  1. Using the Website Browser tab, navigate to the page where you will be adding the widget and double click on the name of the page to preview it.
  2. In the upper left corner of the widget you wish to edit, click "Widget".
  3. Modify any of the fields you wish to change.
  4. When you are finished, click "Save" or "Save and Publish".

How to Edit a Twitter Feed from the Content Tab

  1. From the Content tab of the administration screen, chose "CC - Twitter Feed" from the "Type" dropdown at the top of the left column.
  2. Use the following "Widget Title" and/or "Folder/Host" fields to input information specific to your widget.
  3. Click the "Search" button.
  4. Click on the name of the widget from the list that you would like to edit.
  5. Modify any of the fields you wish to change.
  6. When you are finished, click "Save" or "Save and Publish"
