Learning Outcomes

PROPOSED LEARNING OUTCOMES:

All classes fulfill:

  • one of numbers 1, 2, 3, or 4 below (taken from the first sentence of the goal);
  • and one of numbers 5 and 6 below (taken from the second sentence of the goal).

Outcomes for Goal One:

ONE OF:

1) Students will be able to articulate how a form of inequality (with respect to nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, class, or sexuality) is produced.

OR

2) Students will be able to articulate how a form of inequality (with respect to nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, class, or sexuality) is reproduced over time.

OR

3) Students will be able to articulate how a form of inequality (with respect to nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, class, or sexuality) is experienced by those in the marginalized or subjugated population.

OR

4) Students will be able to articulate how a form of inequality (with respect to nationality, race, ethnicity, gender, class, or sexuality) is resisted by those in the marginalized or subjugated population.

5) Students will be able to describe one type of process (social, political, economic, cultural, psychological, or historical) that shaped the emergence of a marginalized or subjugated population.
