Priddy Trip - Winter
The Colorado College Winter Start Orientation for First-Year Students
The Winter New Student Orientation program is a 5-day experience. We will start on campus in Colorado Springs and then travel to the San Luis Valley. You’ll have the opportunity to prepare for your transition to the CC community while you engage in meaningful service and hiking challenges with your new classmates.
No experience is necessary for this week; all that you will need is your enthusiasm! Well, and everything on the packing list!
Familiarize Yourself with the Mountains of Colorado!
Establish a connection with your classmates while immersing yourself in the spectacular mountains of southern Colorado. Hike into pine and spruce scented forests, through alpine meadows, and along snowy ridges. Take in the amazing mountain air and the breathtaking views of the Rockies.
Become a part of the Colorado College & Colorado Community!
To many Coloradans, the San Luis Valley is a remote outpost isolated from the economic and political core of the state. The Valley is a historically-and culturally-rich community with a large rural population. Working with area non-profits, you will engage in community service activities that will greatly benefit organizations with few volunteers.
