Batteries & Small Electronics

Collection buckets for batteries and small electronics are located in Tutt Library, Worner and Facilities Services.
Items accepted:

  • Alkaline Batteries
  • Rechargeable Batteries (Ni-MH, Ni-Cad, Li-ion)
  • Cell Phones
  • Cables & Cords
  • Chargers
  • Flash Drives

Large Electronics

 

 

Proper disposal of electronics materials, or "e-waste," is a pressing environmental, public health and human rights issue.

Colorado College employs Metech Recycling to provide recycling for large electronics. Metech Recycling is a founding member of the Basel Action Network (BAN) e-Stewards program, and signatory to the BAN Pledge of True Stewardship. Metech has also achieved the Gold level in the Colorado Environmental Leadership Program. Metech Recycling locations are Certified e-Stewards® Recyclers. Certified e-Stewards are leading North American electronics recyclers who are qualified as upholding the highest standard of environmental and social responsibility.

Information Management organizes a monthly pickup of electronic waste from the College.
