Tuition
The cost of earning the Experienced Teacher M.A.T. degree from Colorado College compares very favorably with similar programs at other colleges and universities locally and nationally. Tuition for all Summer Session courses at Colorado College is approximately half the cost of tuition during the regular school year. In addition, as part of the College’s commitment to education on all levels, practicing teachers with contracts may receive a further reduced rate, or 50% off the regular summer tuition. To be eligible for the reduced rate, practicing teachers must download and complete the Proof of Teaching contract form, obtain the signature of the head of school or superintendant, and mail it to the address on the form.
With the exception of a $50 one-time Experienced Teacher M.A.T. Program application fee, and the cost of books and supplies, almost all costs associated with the program are included in the tuition figure. No additional charges are assessed for student activities, computer accounts, laboratory fees, etc. Some courses, particularly those with overnight field trips and/or foreign travel, require payment of a program fee in addition to tuition. Tuition costs and program fees for each summer are listed in the Summer Session Catalog.
Non-degree seeking, practicing teachers are also eligible for the teacher scholarship rate.
Non-practicing teachers (e.g .not currently employed as teachers) pay the regular tuition rate.
