| What is the Student Life Office? | The Student Life Office is the “headquarters” for the Student Life Division, which includes most departments responsible for your “co-curricular” life at Colorado College, i.e. Residential Life and Housing, Campus Activities, Outdoor Education, etc… The offices of Mike Edmonds, Vice President for Student Life/Dean of Students, and Kat Hodgson, Student Life Specialist for Student Support, are housed in the Student Life Office. |
| Where is the Student Life Office? | We are located in Armstrong Hall, Suite 100. Enter through the glass doors on the Cascade Avenue side of the building, turn left, and walk right in. We will be glad to help you! |
What do I do if I…
| am not sure CC is the place for me? | Colorado College has numerous resources for students who are having trouble adjusting to college life or finding their niche here at CC. Kat Hodgson, Student Life Specialist for Student Support, will be happy to talk to you, as will Bruce Coriell and Kate Holbrook, the Chaplains at Shove Chapel. CC has a very diverse student population. Sometimes it just takes a point in the right direction for you to find a place where you're comfortable. Don't be afraid to ask for help! |
| have a residential life issue or problem? | Speak with your Resident Advisor (RA) or Residence Life Coordinator (RLC). They are trained to help resolve the most common issues that arise in residential communities, and if they cannot assist you, they will refer you to someone who can. |
| want to discuss a student life issue I am having? |

Paul York, Student Life Specialist for Conduct, knows our student code of conduct inside and out. He can advise you about your rights and responsibilities as a Colorado College student. Contact your professor immediately by email or voicemail to explain your situation. If you cannot work out a way to make up your work and/or finish the course, go to the Registrar's Office in Armstrong Hall to discuss obtaining an excused grade. |

have taken time off due to extenuating circumstances and would like to appeal the school’s tuition policy? |
Colorado College bills tuition per semester and not on a block by block basis. There is typically no refund of tuition, room or board for a single block off during any one semester. Refunds for leaves of two or more blocks are considered on a case by case basis. An appeal based on unusual or extenuating circumstances will be considered by the Student Accounts Appeal Board, chaired by the V.P. for Student Life. Send a written appeal explaining the circumstances and your request to karen.klein@coloradocollege.edu. |

think I qualify for a meal plan adjustment/refund? |
If you are taking fewer than 3 courses in a semester or are away from campus for a full block or more, you may be eligible to receive a meal plan adjustment/refund. Contact Debra Zarecky at 389-6689 or debra.zarecky@coloradocollege.edu to get more information. |

Student files consist both of your academic record (transcript) and your student life file. You may sign a waiver in the Student Life Office to review your file. Files cannot leave our office but we would be happy to copy portions for you. |
