
Who We Are
Heather Horton is the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and directs the Sexual Assault Response and Prevention Program at Colorado College. She came to CC in March, 2005. Heather works directly with students seeking support and resources after an assault, to ensure that they have all the information they need to make decisions for themselves. She works with staff from the CC Counseling Center and TESSA to ensure that students can access these resources 24 hours a day, anytime during the academic year. Heather supervises the SOSS, which is a group of CC students that provides education, information, support and referrals on issues of sexual violence and harassment. Additionally, Heather is working with the CC community to increase awareness and involvement in stopping sexual violence, stalking and intimate partner violence. Pam Shipp is a Psychologist in the Colorado College Counseling Center and Psychological Services. She works with the Office of Sexual Assault Response and Prevention to provide 24/7 on-call coverage for the CC community. She can support and provide resources for any students who have bee victims of sexual violence, intimate partner violence or stalking.
Student Organization for Sexual Safety (SOSS) is a student led organization whose members can provide support and act as a source of information and referral. SOSS members are confidential resources who fun a 24-hour hotline for the campus community. They also conduct educational programming on campus to increase awareness and campus involvement in ending sexual violence, stalking and intimate partner violence.
