Update - Ombuds Office Survey and Selecting New Ombudsperson
Jane Cauvel, who has been the college’s ombudsperson since August 2010, will be ending her term on July 31. Jane has been a diplomatic leader and we are grateful for her service. Please join me in thanking her for her dedication to the college and this important work.
During these past two years, the ombuds office has played a vital role for our campus community. I, along with Jane, would like to make sure campus needs continue to be met. Please share your feedback by taking a survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/22LXDYP; the survey will remain open until March 7.
The process for selecting the next ombudsperson will be as follows:
Mid March – Call for nominations to be the next ombudsperson. Faculty nominations will go to the FEC and staff nominations will go to Staff Council.
Early April – Staff Council and FEC will meet to choose up to six candidates for recommendation to the president and Board of Trustees.
May (Board meeting) – Board of Trustees Audit Committee, in conjunction with the president, select next ombudsperson.
July 1 – New ombudsperson begins.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
