Beware of CryptoLocker threat
A nasty “ransomware” is going around that encrypts all the files on your computer (including files on the network if it can) and then makes you pay to get them unencrypted again. It spreads mainly through email attachments on scam emails, so please be wary, particularly on your home computers which do not benefit from as many extra security features as we have on the CC network. The best defense against CryptoLocker is to ensure you have all your data backed up (which is a good idea anyway).
Patch Notes - Block 3: Internet bandwidth
We're trying a new way to let you know about technology improvements on campus in an infographic format. We'll release one of these whenever there's something important to announce to the community. Let us know what you think of this format and if you have any suggestions for improvement.
Nanoblock 3 - Grading With Audio in iAnnotatePDF
Professor Wade Roberts has been offering feedback on student papers as audio clips that students can listen to when getting their papers back (in addition to written comments). He's also prepared a document with some instructions on how to get started if you want to try this out.
