Staff Evaluation Appeal Process
Colorado College – 2013-2014 Staff Annual Evaluation Appeal Process
- Staff may appeal an overall rating of Performance Needs Improvement or Unacceptable.
- Appeals must be submitted in writing through email to Barbara Wilson, Director of Human Resources, and to the immediate supervisor. The staff member must state specific reasons related to performance why he/she believes that the overall rating is inaccurate.
- The deadline to submit an appeal is May 30, 2014. Appeals will be decided no later than June 13, 2014.
HR will notify the staff person that their appeal was received. The appeal will be reviewed by a group of three individuals.
The appeals group will review the performance evaluation completed by the supervisor, the staff self-review, and the appeal letter and may elect to meet with the supervisor and staff person if they have questions related to the documentation. The appeals group will make a recommendation to the Vice President for Finance and Administration. The decision from the VP will be final.
