
Staff Evaluation Appeal Process
Staff may appeal an overall rating of Performance Needs Improvement or Unacceptable Performance.
Appeals must be submitted in writing through electronic mail (email) to Barbara Wilson, Director of Human Resources. The appeal must state specific reasons related to performance why the staff person believes that the overall rating is inaccurate.
The deadline to submit an appeal is June 14, 2013. Appeals will be decided no later than June 21, 2013.
HR will notify the staff person that their appeal was received and notify the supervisor of the appeal. The appeal will be reviewed by a small group of individuals.
The appeals group will review the performance evaluation completed by the supervisor, the staff self-review, and the appeal letter and may elect to meet with the supervisor and staff person if they have questions related to the documentation. The appeals group will make a recommendation to the Director of Human Resources. The decision from HR will be final.
