Do I need to submit a separate application for each position?
Yes. A separate application is needed for each position.
Can I apply for a job that is not posted?
Applications are only accepted for a posted position.
When should I turn in my application?
Applications for vacant positions are accepted as soon as the position is posted, and hiring supervisors may begin interviewing immediately. Applications are accepted until the position closing date.
Are internal candidates given preference in hiring?
Occasionally a position announcement will be posted "for Internal Candidates Only". All other vacancies are open to the public, and the best-qualified candidate will be hired to fill the position, regardless of whether they are a current CC employee or not.
Is Colorado College an equal opportunity employer?

How long after I apply should I expect to be called for an interview?
Depending on the needs of the department and the schedule of the hiring supervisor, you should expect to hear something within two to three weeks. Only candidates selected for an interview will be called. You may call the main line at 719-389-6421 to check on the status of your application.
When will my references be checked?
Reference checks are typically done on final candidates. We may also verify other information such as education and salary history and contact current and previous employers.
How will I know if I've been selected for the position?
Human Resources will call you with an offer of employment after the hiring supervisor has interviewed, checked references, and discussed the offer with the HR Director.
Does CC offer benefits to new employees?
Colorado College offers an excellent benefits package to full and part time staff. Please refer to the benefits section of this web site for additional information.
What can I expect as far as compensation?
The minimum starting salary is posted on the position announcement. If your qualifications surpass the minimum requirements for the position as posted, additional starting salary may be considered.
When will I receive my first payroll check?
All staff are paid semi-monthly on the 15th and on the last working day of each month.
When will my performance be evaluated?
You will receive a performance evaluation from your supervisor 90 days after the start of your employment. Annual performance evaluations are conducted in the spring of each year which are used to determine merit pay increases to be effective the following July 1.
How will I find out about benefits and other College policies?
You will be scheduled for a benefits orientation at the time of the offer of employment. During orientation you will be informed of all your benefit options and required paperwork. You will also receive a brief introduction to College policies.
