Software

There are many specialized software packages used by different academic disciplines at Colorado College.

While you are on campus and connected VIA Ethernet or Tigernet2 you can use a Remote Desktop Program (RDP) to log into these servers (If you are off campus you can follow the instructions on the SSLVPN webpage). Windows Computers have a RDP program installed by default and if you're using a Mac, you should download and use CoRD.

Those servers are:

IT-Termsrv1.coloradococollege.edu
IT-Termsrv5.coloradococollege.edu
SAS.coloradococollege.edu

RDP Programs For Mac:

As an example, this is how you can access the SAS terminal server:

On a Windows computer:

  • Open Remote Desktop Connection (usually in Start Menu > Accessories)
  • type "SAS.coloradocollege.edu" into the "Computer:" field
  • Click Connect
  • Enter your Colorado College username and password
  • Make sure to log off the machine when done (Start menu > Log off)

On a Mac:

  • Download and install CoRD or Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection
  • Open CoRD or Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection
  • type "SAS.coloradocollege.edu" into the "Computer:" field
  • Click Connect
  • Enter your Colorado College username and password
  • Make sure to log off the machine when done (Start menu > Log off)
