
Exchange (Faculty and Staff)
Faculty and Staff email is hosted locally at Colorado College on our Microsoft Exchange servers. Student email is hosted externally through Microsoft's Office 365 service.

Below is a quick reference guide to connecting to Microsoft Exchange on computers or mobile devices - more details can be found in the subsections in the navigation.
Best (recommended): Exchange setup
- Account type: Exchange
- Email Server: email.coloradocollege.edu
- Domain: coloradocollege.edu
- Username: Your CC username (example: jdoe)
- Password: Your CC password
Note: in some cases, you may need to type the domain in the username field (example: coloradocollege.edu\jdoe)
Medium (if Exchange is not an option): IMAP setup
- Account type: IMAP
- Incoming Server: email.coloradocollege.edu
- Secure with SSL: port 993
- Outgoing Server:
- if on tigernet: email.coloradocollege.edu
- if not on tigernet: outgoing server of your internet provider
- Secure with TLS: port 587
- Requires Authentication: Yes
- Your CC Username (example: jdoe)
Not recommended: POP setup
- Account type: POP
- POP server:email.coloradocollege.edu
- Secure with SSL: port 995
- SMTP server: specific to your internet service provider
- Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server: Check this if you'd like to keep a backup copy in your CC email. This is recommended, but up to you. Remember if you do not leave a copy on the server, anything deleted from your email client is deleted forever.
