Early Birds
The mission of Early Birds is to provide an early morning service that allows students to come in before school and be provided with a variety of different activities ranging from tutoring, one-on-one reading, to playing organized games outside. Student volunteers will mentor daily from 7-8 in the morning with exception to once every four weeks, when there is only half a week of school at Colorado College and block break. Volunteers will do anything that the student needs help with, whether it is homework or if the student just wants to read. We are very flexible.
We pick up volunteers at Loomis, Mathias, and Slocum between 6:45 and 6:55 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We begin tutoring at 7, and return to campus by 8. Volunteers sign up by the block to accommodate for schedule changes.
