Human Rights Initiatives

Human Rights student groups focus on a variety of different issues related to human rights on a local, regional, and global scale.  Human Rights student groups range from organizations like Amnesty International and Roosevelt Institute to Ubuntu and the Refugee Assistance Project.

Amnesty International

Amnesty International is a grassroots activist organization committed to shining a light on human rights offenses around the world.  This international group exposes human rights abuses, educates and movilizes the public, and helps create a safer, more just world.  

Peace Jam

Peace Jam aims to create young leaders committed to positive change in the world through the inspiration of Nobel Peace Laureates.  

Refugee Assistance Program

The Refugee Assistance Progam helps refugee families from around the world adjust to life in Colorado Springs.  We provide families with language assistance, help their children with their homework and play games with them.  

Roosevelt Institute

Roosevelt Institute is a student-run policy organization.  They are a chapter of the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute.  Students conduct research and write policy regarding public issues.
