GlobeMed is a student organization that is dedicated to increasing the visibility and awareness of global health issues with the goal of improving health disparities around the world. Here at Colorado College, GlobeMed partners with Western Organization of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Western Kenya to improve the health of vulnerable communities. We invite all members of the CC community to engage in debate, advocacy and service in the issues of global health, health of underserved populations in the United States, humanitarian relief, international development, and health policy.
If you are interested to join GlobeMed or would like more information, please contact Sarah Freeman at Sarah.Freeman@ColoradoCollege.edu.
"I am involved with GlobeMed because I see the organization as an opportunity to learn about global health issues, raise awareness on campus, and gain personal leadership experience. Through our work with Western Organization for People Living with HIV/AIDS in Western Kenya, we are participating in a meaningful partnership and gaining valuable knowledge about the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Kenya and the work being done to end it."
