CCE Student Organization Registration 2013-2014

Every spring, each student-led community-based organization seeking CCE sponsorship is required to complete a new registration application.  This process is designed to permit groups and their CCE advisers to arrive at a shared sense of a group’s goals and expectations; resource needs; training needs; and the level of risk management required.  This process also enables groups to think through their mechanisms of service delivery, their intended impacts, and their connection to the scholarly literature.

This registration process is not designed to dissuade or weed out groups, but rather to gently encourage groups (and their advisers) to get really intentional about the conceptual, programmatic and logistical decisions they make.  Central among these decisions is the choice of which Advising Tier to select.

Although the registration process culminates in a document, it is our intention that the registration process function as a set of conversations between CCE staff and group leaders.  Groups should spend enough time talking about their applications with CCE staff such that they are able to confidently respond to each question with a clear sense of what the review panel is looking for.
