Software
Colorado College licenses several software applications to aid learning. These software packages vary from Microsoft Office to Adobe Photoshop to Mathematica. If you have a software need, please contact your friendly neighborhood ATS liaison or Weston Taylor to see if we already have a license or to arrange for purchasing the software.
There are different kinds of software licenses. We have
- software we can install anywhere (Mathematica, Read&Write Gold, ChemBioDraw),
- software we can install on college-owned computers (Matlab, Minitab, MS Office, SPSS, Windows),
- software we can only install on a set number of computers (Adobe products, Mac OS X).
Finally, we do have and recommend some free software. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, LibreOffice (an MS Office alternative), the Gnu Image Manipulation Program (GIMP - an alternative to Photoshop) and many more are free or open-source licensed, so you can have them for free.
