Workshop: Phi Beta Kappa Workshop with James J. O’Donnell - "Avatars Reborn"Will the book survive the digital revolution? Phi Beta Kappa, the Crown Faculty Center, and Educational Technology Services present the first of this year’s Deliberation and Liberal Learning Workshops addressing that and other questions about contemporary education. "Avatars Reborn" will be a workshop led by James J. O’Donnell, Provost of Georgetown University, a distinguished classicist and a noted authority on digital technologies and their effects on liberal arts education.
The workshop will bring together faculty from across the College, students that faculty invite to participate, and alumni in the region to reflect on a short essay of Provost O’Donnell’s, "The New Liberal Arts: Teaching in the Postmodern World."
