Reception: "Performing Sugar""Performing Sugar" is the first of four "Sugar Salons" held in conjunction with the I.D.E.A. Space exhibition "Sugar, Sugar" The evening will feature chemistry experiments with sugar “performed” by Colorado College Professor Ted Lindeman and gallery talks by Kate Leonard and featured artists. At 6 pm, I.D.E.A. and the music department will present a performance of "Rare Sugar" in the South Theater. Australian composer Nigel Westlake was inspired to create this contemporary piece after watching a television program about a chemist who works on rare forms of sugar.
