1. Academic quality
a. Preserve what defines quality education at CC: accomplished teachers and scholars; small classes; field and laboratory work when basic to course content; student access to courses
b. Keep comparable colleges in mind as standards for academic quality.
2. Student access
a. Defend the quality of the educational experience for present and future students. Within that mandate, strive to expand access to CC for high caliber students and increase the ethnic, international, and socio-economic diversity of the student body, faculty, and staff.
