Fine Arts Images

Grove Dictionary of Art
From the Tutt homepage, click on "Article/Information Databases," then "Databases by Subject" then "Art" and go to Grove Dictionary of Art.
Use the "External Image Links" search option.

The Colorado College Art History Image Database
http://art1.ColoradoCollege.edu/colo/page.htm

This link allows you to search the database of art slides held in the Art Department of Colorado College. Portions of these slides have been digitized and can be viewed through the Internet.

In addition, Tutt Library has a rich collection of art books! There are also indexes in the reference collection used to locate particular images in published materials, i.e., World Painting Index, Sculpture Index, etc.


Photographs

Accunet/AP Multimedia Archive
From the Tutt homepage, click on "Article/Information Databases," then "Databases by Subject" then "Art" and go to Accunet/AP Multimedia Archive.

Need historical photographs from Colorado College or from Colorado Springs? Visit the Special Collections Department at Tutt Library. They will scan photographs for $3.00 per page. Contact Jessy Randall, Archivist at 389-6668.


Technical Images (Illustrations, charts, graphs)

The Accunet/AP Multimedia Archive (above) includes illustrations and graphics of scientific process and events. When searching for this type of image, use the pull-down box under ARCHIVES and change it to "Graphics PDF."

(An "Image" search in Google might also get you good results.)
