Music Instrumentation Search

To search the TIGER library catalog for music scores and sound recordings that include particular instruments, voices, or ensembles:

Select an instrument, voice or ensemble from the menu.
Specify the number of performers for that instrument or voice; for choral ensembles, give the number of parts (such as 4 for 4-part mixed chorus). Click "Add. Continue adding until the required search data is complete (another instrument, another voice, etc.)
Limit Material Type: All, Scores, or Sound recordings.
When the instrumentation and material type are complete, click "Perform TIGER Search." See Tips for more information on doing a music instrumentation search.

Saturday: 1:00pm- 4:00pm
Sunday: 1:00pm – 10:00pm
The Seay Library closes at Noon on Wednesday during Block Break. We reopen the following Monday at 8:00am. To gain access to the library during Block Break, please call (719) 389-6560, or email us.

Find music materials

Finding musical scores and recordings is often challenging. Don’t assume we don’t have it if you can’t find it! There’s help here.

Renew borrowed items

For items borrowed from our library and Prospector see: View My Record. Can also renew by phone, email, or in person. For items borrowed through Interlibrary Loan, contact the Interlibrary Loan office.
Borrow from the library

Campus community members must have a Gold Card. Affiliated with an area college or university? You can borrow as a Reciprocal Borrower. Are you a Colorado resident? You can borrow as a Colorado Library Card User. More.
Borrow from other libraries

If you can’t find what you need, try Prospector, a unified catalog of 23 libraries in Colorado and Wyoming, or try InterLibrary Loan to borrow from a variety of other libraries.

Access library databases from home

When you click on our database links from off-campus, you will be asked to log in with your name and TIGER number. Once you log in, you will be able to access the database as a Colorado College user, just as if you were on-campus.
