Meet the Staff
Tracy Santa, Director
Tracy Santa received BA and MA degrees from San Francisco State in English/creative writing, an EdM from Harvard, and a PhD in composition/rhetoric from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has directed writing centers at Loyola University ( New Orleans), the United States Air Force Academy, and the American University in Bulgaria, taught college composition since 1989, and written for the San Francisco Chronicle, the Chicago Reader, and Salon.com. His historical reading of error in composition, Dead Letters, is in press (Hampton Press, 2007). Tracy teaches GS 200 Writing Practicum, GS 300 Theory and Practice of Peer Tutoring, and GS 395 Peer Tutoring Practicum, assists the Writing Program Director and individual faculty in development of writing curriculum and pedagogy, and offers group consultation and individual tutorials across the graduate and undergraduate student body.
