What We Do The
WritingCenter provides free, individual
tutoring sessions during which students can work on their writing
and other academic projects in any stage, from inception to revision
of a finished draft.The
WritingCenter also offers continuous
tutorials for students who want long-term assistance with serious
writing issues, major projects (theses, seminar papers, grant proposals,
etc.), and skills for multilingual students. In addition, our nationally certified and trained peer and
professional staff consult on non-curricular projects such as newsletters,
job or graduate school applications, and non-academic articles. The WritingCenter focuses on writing
as a process rather than a product, and consultants strive to help
students become better writers, not just improve a single paper or
academic project.
