THE COLKET FELLOW IN READING AND RHETORIC

 

What We Do

Tutoring:

Free, individual sessions devoted to individual needs ranging from active reading and comprehension strategies to critical reading and analysis. Call or email the Colket Fellow to set up an appointment.

Workshops:

Active Reading Strategies
One and a half hour workshop focusing on increasing reading speed and comprehension. Students should bring current reading assignments to work with. Call or email to register.

Adjunct courses:

GS 205 – Reading Practicum

November 6 through December 11
Active and critical reading strategies for print and internet resources.

The Colket Fellow works in collaboration with other resources at the Learning Commons including the Writing Center, the Center for Quantitative Reasoning, Disability Services, the Office of First Year and Sophomore Studies, the ESL Specialist and the Crown Faculty Center.

Tutoring Hours Fall Semester:

Monday through Friday from 12:00 to 4:00 pm
Additional times by appointment.
Appointments are recommended. If you would like to schedule an appointment, email Kyle Torke or Patti Spoelman to arrange a meeting during regular office hours.
