Grade Transfer Policies
Colorado College ProgramsAll credit earned on the Lüneburg, Aix-en-Provence and Oaxaca semesters, as well as the two-block program in St. Petersburg and Moscow, is considered CC credit and will appear on your transcript as such. Grades earned on these programs will appear on your transcript and will be included in determining your cumulative grade point average. You will have the same grade track options that you have on campus. Grades earned on exchange programs (Fudan, Göttingen, Jönköping, Juiz de Fora, Nevksy, Regensburg and Wales) will not appear on your transcript. Students on these exchange programs may not opt to take classes on a "pass/nocredit" basis. Affiliated ProgramsAll grades earned on affiliated programs will appear on your transcript and be factored into your cumulative grade point average. You also have the option of taking courses on these programs on a "pass/nocredit" basis. If you would like to change your grade track after arriving on site, you should email the Registrar’s Office. Be sure to include the name of your program in your email. Just as if you were on campus, you will have only until the fourth class session to change your grade track. Because most affiliated programs award credit on a semester basis, your credit will be converted to the block system before it is entered on your transcript. Remember, 1 unit on the block plan is worth 4 semester credit hours; therefore, a full semester at CC (4 units) is worth 16 semester credit hours. Plan your schedule accordingly. Non-Affiliated ProgramsThe grades earned on non-affiliated programs will not appear on your transcript or be factored into your grade point average. This will not affect your overall grade point average negatively or positively. Keep in mind that you must earn the equivalent of a C- or better in order for course work to transfer. Because the Registrar needs to see that you have earned a C- or better to transfer the credit, students on non-affiliated programs must take all classes for a grade. |
