Founded in 1874, Colorado College is a private, four-year, independent coeducational liberal arts college of 1950 undergraduate students. It is located on a 90-acre campus in downtown Colorado Springs, on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at the foot of Pikes Peak. The College operates an innovative, one-course-at-a-time format known as the Block Plan. The College is committed to increasing the diversity of the college community. Candidates who can contribute to that goal are particularly encouraged to apply and to identify their strengths or experiences in this area.
MISSION: At Colorado College our goal is to provide the finest liberal arts education in the country. Drawing upon the adventurous spirit of the Rocky Mountain West, we challenge students, one course at a time, to develop those habits of intellect and imagination that will prepare them for learning and leadership throughout their lives.
