SPDs are written descriptions of Colorado College's benefit plans. A SPD is an important document, as it states many of the plan provisions in an easy-to-read format. A SPD covers the main provisions of each group insurance plan. A SPD is not a contract and does not modify the actual Plan Document. If there is any conflict between the SPD and the Plan Document, the Plan Document will serve as the official record.
