Welcome to the Banner Employee Self-Service module, where you can log into a website and view information about your paychecks, deductions, leave balances, and more!
Logging in for the first time is easy, but you will need your Employee ID Number:
Full Time Staff |
Student Workers |
| 8-digit number |
6-digit number |
| listed on paystub |
listed on goldcard |
| Ex. 02004387 |
Ex. 047782 |
If you do not know this number and simply can't wait to access this new feature, you may call the Help Desk at x6449 - they should be able to look it up for you.
Once you have your employee ID number handy, simply open up the Web Browser of your choice and type the following into the address field (or just click the link): https://gowest.coloradocollege.edu
You'll see the following screen:

Input your employee ID number into the "User ID" field, and your PIN number into the "PIN" field: by default, your PIN is your birthdate in the following format: MMDDYY (ex. 090365)
*note: don't forget to put in zeroes - your PIN number must be 6 digits.

Now go ahead and click the "Login" button. Since this is the first time you've logged on, the system will now ask you to reset your PIN. Change it to whatever you'd like (it's alphanumeric, so either letters or numbers will work fine). The only restriction is that it must be 6 characters, no more, no less.
Please note that it is very important to make sure that your PIN is secure - this is sensitive, personal information that you do not want anyone else to have access to. As such, the best PINs are more or less random strings of letters and numbers (ex. a43ub2). You should specifically avoid using words that are in the dictionary or would be easy for someone to guess, and you should change your PIN at least once every 3 months.
*note: this is what you will see if the Help Desk ever resets your PIN (we don't actually set it, we just expire it and then you set it to whatever you'd like the next time you log on).

Now that you've changed your PIN, the system will ask you to set a "security question" and answer. This will be used in case you ever forget what your PIN number is (Click here for information about choosing a good security question):

Once you have set the question and answer, click "Submit." It will then take you back to this screen:

Don't worry, it only does this because you've just reset your PIN. Go ahead and enter your User ID and new PIN, and it should now give you access to Employee Self Service!

*note: If you find you have forgotten what your PIN number is, then click the button on the login screen. It will display the security question you entered upon first logging in. If you answer the question correctly, it will allow you to reset your PIN.
If you've forgotten the answer to your security question, or it isn't working for some reason, then contact the Help Desk at x6449 and they will be able to reset your PIN (specifically, Employee Self-Service will ask you to reset your PIN the next time you log in)
