What is Reunion Giving?

Drawing upon the adventurous spirit of the Rocky Mountain West, Colorado College challenges students, one course at a time, to develop those habits of intellect and imagination that will prepare them for learning and leadership throughout their lives.

Reunion giving at Colorado College is all about numbers—not dollar signs, but percent signs!

The goal of reunion giving is to maximize the number of alumni who give to CC, in any amount.

While it's virtually impossible to measure the emotional loyalty and affection alumni hold for their alma mater, college guidebooks use alumni giving as a way to quantify our love for CC. As reported in the fall 2005 issue of US News & World Report, a mere 35% of CC alumni were investing in our college.

The reunion program can help dramatically increase this percentage to be more on par with our peer institutions. For example, the classes of 1964, 1965, and 1966 achieved a whopping 56% alumni giving in honor of their combined 40th reunion in 2005!
