Wonderbound Dance Company: Memories and Well Grounded Hopes

Location

Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center
825 N. Cascade Ave. (map)

Description

Wonderbound Dance Company is delighted to present two world premieres choreographed by Artistic Director Garrett Ammon. Memories and Well Grounded Hopes features all new music by the klezmer fusion band Hal Aqua and The Lost Tribe, as well as Colorado College's own renowned composer Ofer Ben-Amots. These new projects grew out of the acclaimed production, A Journey of the Human Spirit, which was presented in January, 2013 in collaboration with Central City Opera, The Colorado Symphony, The Mizel Arts and Culture Center and The Newman Center.

Over the course of five years, the artistic vision of Garrett Ammon and Dawn Fay has helped to define Wonderbound, formerly known as Ballet Nouveau Colorado, as a creative leader in the state of Colorado. By collaborating with artists across a spectrum of mediums, they have created transformative experiences that upended notions about how dance can be created and shared in the community.
