The Economics and Business Department welcomes Nicole Simpson, associate professor of economics, Colgate University, to present the next talk in the 2012-13 Seminar Series: “The Earned Income Tax Credit for Single Mothers: Insurance without Disincentives.” Simpson holds a B.A. in economics from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and an M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Iowa. She considers herself to be a macroeconomist who focuses on labor issues and her research areas include immigration, the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and education.
