Description

For the sixth and final State of the Rockies Project Speakers Series event of the year, the Project will host a talk on: "Healthy Forests for the Colorado River Basin." The speaker for the evening will be Harris Sherman '64, undersecretary for natural resources and environment at the United States Department of Agriculture. Before joining USDA, Sherman served from 2007 until 2009, as the executive director of Colorado’s Department of Natural Resources, under Gov. Bill Ritter where he oversaw Colorado’s water, energy, wildlife, parks, forestry, and state lands programs. The Colorado College State of the Rockies Project is an undergraduate team research project that studies issues that affect the environmental, social, and economic health of our region.
