Description

Two short plays in memory of the Czech playwright, dissident and president - VACLAV HAVEL - who died just before Christmas. CATASTROPHE by SAMUEL BECKETT was written in 1982 for Havel during one of his several times in prison.“The fact that Samuel Beckett made himself heard in this way pleased and spoke to me immensely,” recalled Havel. “In my eyes, he was a patriarch or father of modern theatre, who dwelt somewhere up in the heavens isolated from the hubbub down below.” MISTAKE was written by Havel on his release in 1983 as a response and a thank you. This will be the first American showing of a great dramatic double act. Directed by Prof ANDREW MANLEY with an all CC student cast.
