Funding to Develop Area and Language Studies, International Expertise, and Study Abroad Programs Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language Program This program of the U.S. Department of Education funds proposals to plan, develop, and carry out program to strengthen and improve undergraduate instruction in international studies and foreign languages.
Eligible activities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Development of a new language program, i.e. Arabic; Development of a global studies/international studies program which is interdisciplinary in design; Development of a program which focuses on issues or topics, such as international health, or peace and democracy; Development of an area studies program and its languages Development of study –abroad programs To revise an develop curriculum and develop additional faculty expertise

The Fulbright Scholar Programs The traditional Fulbright Scholar Program sends 800 U.S. faculty and professionals abroad each year. Grantees lecture and conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields.
The Fulbright Senior Specialists Program is designed to provide short-term academic opportunities (two to six weeks) for U.S. faculty and professionals.
The Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) ACM provides a variety of opportunities for faculty at ACM colleges to extend their expertise and gain new perspectives through conferences, visiting faculty position on ACM off-campus study programs and grant-funded programs.
Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA) HECUA, a consortium of institutions of which Colorado Collorado is a member, provides education in service-learning and experiential education at Twin Cities, Ecuador , Norway , and Northern Ireland and will work to develop programs specific to CC faculty interests.
