Salvino Bizzarro Professor The Colorado College Education: Courses: Spanish Language and Literature, Italian Cinema and Literature, Latin American Literature, Introduction to Literary Analysis, Composition and Oral Practice, Hispanic American Literature, Modern Hispanic American Literature, Contemporary Hispanic Literature, Mexican History and Literature Since the Revolution, topics in Hispanic Literature and Culture.
Salvino Bizzarro, director of the Colorado College Summer Program in Italy, has also directed Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) Florence and London-Florence programs, and was the founder of the Colorado College Mexico Program, which he also directed on several occasions. Dr. Bizzarro has authored Pablo Neruda: All Poets the Poet and Historical Dictionary of Chile (3rd edition), both published by Scarecrow Press. Clara Lomas (Leave of Absence) Professor The Colorado College Education: Courses: Hispanic Culture, Latino/a Literature in the United States, Chicano/a literature in the United States, Spanish Language and Literature Clara Lomas is a superb teacher, with a solid theoretical background, and a vast knowledge of Hispanic and Chicano literatures, particularly dealing with Mexican American writers. Dr. Lomas is demanding and challenging, enthusiastic about her work, and spends an inordinate amount of time with students to improve their theses writing. Dr. Lomas is a published scholar, having concentrated her research on post-colonial and post-modern literary theories, and has participated in numerous congresses and professional meetings both in the United States and abroad. |

Religion and spirituality, especially in the role both play with regards to roles of women in society, and cultural influences. Kathy Bizzarro is best described as a teacher who enjoys devoting an inordinate amount of time to help her students learn Spanish in a proficient and effective manner. She is often described as creative, approachable and respectful of differences in ability and perspective among students, leaving her students energized, refreshed and curious. Ms. Bizzarro is the director of the summer study abroad program in Salamanca, Spain

He also is the director of the "Centro de Estudios Publicos", a non-profit academic organization that is committed to the study of the principles, traditions and institutions upon which a free, pluralistic and democratic order of society is based.
