Feminist and Gender Studies at Colorado College engages in a critical examination of theories about and attitudes toward women, sex, and gender both in Western and global cultural settings. The goal of Feminist and Gender Studies is to broaden our perspectives and consider the conditions for the creation of a more equitable society.

FemCo FemCo, The Feminist Collective, is a student run feminist group that meets weekly and discusses issues on our campus and in the world involving women, gender, and feminism. FemCo meets the first three weeks of the block on Monday nights at 7:30 pm in the ID House. SOSS Student Organization for Sexual Safety is a confidential, student-run organization providing education, information, action and referral for all students, staff and faculty, on issues of sexual violence and harassment. We are available in crisis situations, to act as advocates, to answer questions, to give presentations, and to attend events as support people. VOX Voices for Planned Parenthood. A student organization speaking out for reproductive rights. VOX meets in the ID House, 1115 North Cascade Avenue on the first and third Tuesday of the block from 8:00-9:00 pm. For more information, e-mail Angela Dang at at_dang@coloardocollege.edu.

EQUAL A social and political support group for all students who are queer or questioning their sexuality, sexual orientaiton or gender orientation (including gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, queer, pansexual, asexual, intersex, and all colors of the rainbow). All meetings are confidential and newcomers are always welcome. Meets the first, second, and third Wednesady of every block at 7:00 p.m. in the ID house. For more information, contact Adison T. QSA Queer Straight Alliance. A student group involved in fostering a positive relationship between queer and straight students on campus. Anyone is welcome to attend, regardless of sexual orientation. For more information contact Stephanie Beltran at s_beltran@coloradocollege.edu.
